Adventure Time

So we were planning on finishing our recording of our Chinese movie today. We got together and started finishing the track scene. Then we drove to an alley to shoot the last scene. Jamison kept his car keys in my backpack. When we got out of the car, I had my backpack on out of habit. David said "why don't you leave your backpack in the car?" so I put it back in.
We shot part of the scene, but the battery in the camera ran out (the guy who was our cameraman never turned it off between scenes). So we went back to the car so we could drive to someone's apartment and charge it. Jamison asked for his keys. They were in his backpack...
We all stared at the car.
"How are we gonna fix this...?"
One guy suggested breaking a window. Jamison was like "Yeah...I'd really rather you not do that."
So we tried walking to the police office, but it was closed. Everything in on main street closes at 6:00!! Eventually we ran into a girl who was just about to lock up at the tux shop. She gave us a few wire hangers.
So we went back to the car and the guys unraveled the hangers and tried to get under the window to unlock the car. They tried that for about 45 minutes. Finally, one of the guys decided he'd try to catch a ride from someone and go to a store and buy a slim jim. A while after he left, Jamison and another guy decided they'd go to Little Cesars and get some pizza while we waited. So I was left with David for a while. He was so determined to use that wire to unlock the car!
After a few minutes, someone pulled into the parking lot and asked if we needed any help. He got out and opened his trunk and revealed a very nifty looking contraption. He stuck a thing into the door and started pumping a handle thing. A rubber balloon inflated, giving a bunch of space between the door and the car. He then put in this metal thing with a plastic/rubber end and flipped the lock. He did it in like 10 seconds!
David was like "dang, how much does one of those things cost?"
The guy said "a license."
Apparently he worked for an autoshop or something, I don't know. But they don't just sell those to anyone.

So everyone came back and we decided to wrap up the day. We'll finish the movie on Saturday.

Yes quite an adventure. Hope you didn't freeze to death waiting for the miracle door opener.
After locking my keys in the car--I now always double check to make sure I have them with me!
