Bulgogi

Julia staid at our apartment for a whole week!
It was a lot of fun. I love Julia :)

On Thursday night, I decided to make Bulgogi.
Ray and Lee came over. Heidi, Julia, and Kelsey ate some too.
I was nervous about how it would turn out because I'd never had it before.
It took two hours to make x.x
And I made a mistake. I didn't know what a "clove of garlic" meant. So instead of putting in two cloves, I put in two whole ones.
So when Kelsey came down when I was about to start frying it up, I asked her what a clove was. So she helped me pick out a bunch of little pieces of garlic..
It turned out good, though! Everyone kept saying that it was really good. I'm glad :)
The time and effort went to good use!I'll have to make it some time at home, too. I'd love to make it again.

Happy Halloween

Okay, so Halloween was yesterday. But I'm just sticking to my Sunday post tradition.

Last Monday was our Ward Halloween party. It was in the Kirkham this year instead of the Taylor. There weren't very many activities, though--not like last year. There was a team relay thing, but I only got to participate in one activity, and then I couldn't see the rest. However, at one point, every group got up on "stage" and did a little 30-second skit thing. It was entertaining.

On Friday, Emily came over and we went to the D.I. to help her find a costume to become Princess Lolly. After, we went to Winger's for dinner <3
So the rest of us played Candyland. Every time we landed on a character's space, we played a game based on that character. For Queen Frostine we had an ice cream eating contest. For Princess Lolly we had a dance contest to a song called Lollipop. For Mr Licorice we had to make art out of three pieces of licorice. For Mr Mint we had to close our eyes and taste a flavored candy cane and guess what the flavor was. And for the final game, we had a Mario Kart relay on Rainbow Road (for the boy/girl player event).

After that, Ray and Lee left. Emily's boyfriend, Cid, came over and we hung out with him for a bit. We had SOOOO many leftover treats that we decided to make plates full of food to give to our relief society and FHE sisters. So we went around the complex delivering treats. It was fun :)

We were so wired on sugar that we didn't fall asleep until reeeaaaallly late. And then we ended up sleeping through church....
Literally. When we woke up, church was already over.

Kelsey made red curry for dinner, and Ray and Lee came over. We hung out with them and we watched Totoro. It was really fun because Kelsey and I were both still wired on sugar.

Boring Week

Heidi went home this weekend. And Mileah did too, only to come back for church, and then leave again. So I have yet to get an entire apartment picture.
This is the only picture for the week, too!

On Monday, Mileah was at a concert. Heidi and Kelsey both didn't feel well. So I staid behind with them. Meaning, we didn't go to FHE.
And because we didn't go, they decided on a laaaaame FHE Halloween costume. We're going to be M&M Gangsters. I'm...worried about how that will turn out :/

Nothing else really happened this week. Kinda boring...

Why hello, Logan

Welcome to the world Logan Don Cheney.
He is such an adorable little boy. A wise old man boy.
I can't wait to see what he looks like in two months :)
Alyssa Bateman was very kind and drove me to Kari's on Saturday morning. Mom got there around the same time and is spending the week there. We got to meet baby Logan. So so so small. I forgot how small newborn babies are.
It was fun to play with Alexis. She has so much energy! I couldn't keep up with her.
If you look at Alexis's newborn pictures and look at Logan, they look so similar! That's why I'm so excited to see what Logan looks like once he grows out of being a newborn. But for now he can stay cute and tiny :)

Alexis loved Logan so much! Here's a video of her giving him kisses and trying to hold him.Last Monday for FHE, we drove out to someone's house and had a campfire kind of thing. We combined with another group, so there were lots of people. The guy in the darkness is Austin (Tina), the guy in white is Glen, the guy next to them is from the other group so I don't know him. And then the guy in front who is bleached out by my flash is Austina, who's our dad. I warned everyone "I'm taking a picture, so don't be startled by the flash" but the first one didn't work, because it was dark and I couldn't see where I aim the camera. So I took another one, which is the one I posted. It didn't turn out too great either. But everyone was like "Ahhg stop!" so I didn't take another one.

I don't remember if anything else important happened. I have a really bad memory...

So I'll just include a weird picture of the week of me and Kelsey.

Bunnies

Best looking Sunday Apartment pic so far (if I do say so myself).

For FHE last monday we played one of my favorite games. Everyone gets a piece of paper and they write something (like... "a girl being attacked by rabbits"), and then you pass your paper to the right and the next person has to draw what you wrote. Then they fold over the first line and pass it, so the next person only sees the picture, and they have to write what they think it is. And you pass it around like that until it goes around the whole circle. It's soo fun.
I should probably start updating more than once a week, because I can never remember what happened. Or I get the weeks mixed up.

Oh yeah,
Ray and Lee came over on Friday night and we watched shows and stuff.
Oh yeah, and we had pancake Wednesday. Ray, Lee, Cammi, Rikke, Joseph, and his friend Chris came over. Well,I think Rikke came over... I don't remember.
But it was fun! :D
Oh yeah!
This feels like forever ago. It was this week, right? I think so.
I got my dress!
I was complaining to my friend about how expensive clothes are on a site that I like. So I showed him one of the dress/shirt things that I wanted. And he bought it for me. It was surprising and a little weird, because we hadn't seen each other since Middle School, and we had just barely started talking to each other online again.
But it was nice ^^; I really like the dress/shirt!

Conference Weekend

No apartment picture this week! I was at Kari's :)

Last Monday for FHE, we went to Porter Park and played Ultimate Frisbee. I sat out with a few of the other girls and just talked. I am absolutely no good at frisbee.
But it was still fun. I like our FHE group.On...Wednesday, Ray and Lee came over to just hang out for a few hours.
And then we invited them back on Thursday, and I invited Cammi and Rikke as well. I made them sweet and sour chicken, and then we watched 17 Again. At this point, Cammi and Rikke left. The guys and Kels and I played Whoonu and then watched some youtube videos and stufff. It was fun :)

On Friday, Kari and Brent came and picked me up!
So I spent the weekend with them.
Eating during conference is a very good idea. If I wasn't eating something, I was falling asleep. But I watched all four sessions! I think this was the first time I've ever done that.
Kari and Alexis were sick :(
At first, I was trying not to get sick--I washed my hands a lot and I tried not to share things with them, and so on. But by Sunday I didn't really care anymore. But now I have a sore throat :/

Week Three

Veeeerrrryyy uneventful week.
On Wednesday, Kelsey went home to go see her chiropractor. On Friday morning, Heidi went home, and on Friday night, Mileah went home. So I was all alone for the whole weekend. And no one came to visit me :(
I guess I could've gone and visted people, but I... I dunno. I much prefer them to come to me :/ And I know that's a quality I need to get over.

But Sunday was very good!
Mileah came home on Sunday morning and we went to church together. When we got back, Mileah made a wonderful dinner. She had a chicken cooking in a crock pot with creamy of chicken and shake and bake. And then we had potatoes and corn. Yumm yummm.

I was told I had to go to a relief society training meeting at 5 (Oh yeah, I got a calling today! I'm the Relief Society B Birthday Specialist haha).
So I went to that, but when they split everyone up into groups, I didn't have a place to go. So my RS leaders were like "oh...hey, I think we made a mistake. You don't need to be here."
But at least I got some free food :)

When I came back, Kelsey was home!
Biggest excitement of my life. I had been starting to talk to myself.
She brought some stuff with her (thanks for the coat/robe/socks/toothpaste mom!)
And we rearranged all the furniture! And we decorated! And yay!
It was really fun :D
Here is the somwhat finished project: We still have pictures and stuff to put up on the walls, and more things to put into the little cubby holes. I'm super excited. It's muuuuuch more cozy now.
